Tried a new brand of cigar today, well new to me anyways. It was a Fonseca Cubano Limitado . Normally when I pop into the Cigar shop and ask for something new I get the same kind of advice from the same to clerks. This is not a bad thing since they are supremely knowledgeable and always have a great smoke for me.But today I asked one of the guys who only works a few hours a week what he might pick after describing my taste for Partigas #4 from Cuba. His recommendation was the Fonseca Cubano Limitado Robusto which seemed a bit heavy for my normal taste upon inspection, but was quite surprised after a few puffs. The draw was quite nice and while the cigar was spicy in the beginning it settled into a really great flavor about 25% into the cubano. While being a medium heavy cigar the taste was so full and pleasant that I never felt the feeling of oiliness assumed by some heavy smokes.By the time I was down to the nub a curiosity about other cigars in the Fonseca line had me asking more questions.
So my overall rating is a 7.I would recommend trying one.
Flavor rating would be a 3.5-4
The cost is a bit cheaper than average ,and I am unsure if this cigar is still made.
